Welcome To The Home Of It’s Not That Bad
It’s the show that does its best to defend the unfairly maligned movies, to find the silver linings in the films deemed “less than great”. Every week, host Jason Whissell is joined by a guest to discuss a movie that has been poorly rated by the critics or by the fans. We do our very best to find good things to say about them, and to show those flicks in a light that you may have not noticed before. We are also always happy to hear what movies you think should be covered, as well as what you thought of the movies themselves. We’ll be posting blogs on here as well as keep you updated as to what to expect in the coming months.

Ep. 108 – Speed 2: Cruise Control

Sequels can be a wonderful thing. They can evolve the characters, enrich their story and catch us up with our cinematic friends. They also have the ability to make the original feel like a stinky mess by getting rid of everything from the first movie…like the main star. Will this sequel be sweet or sour? Find out as we endeavor to see if Speed 2: Cruise Control is not that bad.

Keep Watch Pass – Movies (Mostly) In Black & White

We’re looking into the world of high-brow, monochromatic, multiple shades of gray world of cinema this week as we make our picks of movies that are mostly or entirely in black and white. I’m also really hoping Santa doesn’t listen to this. There may have been a case of the humbugs. It’s not my fault.

Ep. 106 – Mallrats

To quote the great, legendary Canadian songstress Robin Sparkles, “Let’s go to the mall today.” Why the mall, you may ask? Because that’s where comic book fans, oversexed teenagers, dope smoking superheroes and game show contestants will be. If that sounds like a good time, it is because Mallrats is not that bad. Special guest: Eric Nash from Almost Famous Minute and Feels Like Weezer.

They can also turn out to be steaming piles of cinematic sewage. Listen in as we make our Keep, Watch and pass picks of sequels, but only the second movie in a series. Only Part 2’s here. Ep. 105 – Days Of Thunder

In the 80’s, Tom Cruise was able to make anything and everything look cool…F15 fighter jets? Cool. Bartending around the world as a career choice? Cool. Dancing around in your underwear and turning your parents’ house into a brothel…questionable, but yet somehow cool. What would 1990 bring? Well, more of the same, because Days Of Thunder is not that bad.
