Welcome To The Home Of It’s Not That Bad
It’s the show that does its best to defend the unfairly maligned movies, to find the silver linings in the films deemed “less than great”. Every week, host Jason Whissell is joined by a guest to discuss a movie that has been poorly rated by the critics or by the fans. We do our very best to find good things to say about them, and to show those flicks in a light that you may have not noticed before. We are also always happy to hear what movies you think should be covered, as well as what you thought of the movies themselves. We’ll be posting blogs on here as well as keep you updated as to what to expect in the coming months.

There Can Only Be One – Counting Crows

When they burst on to the scene in 1993, they were the talk of the music world. Covering rock, folk, country and pop all in their signature sound, the Counting Crows were everywhere. Below, you will find our picks in two Spotify playlists. Beneath that, you will also find the Youtube link to the Amazon exclusive track, August & Everything After that Brian talked about in the episode. What songs would have made your list? let us know in the comments below.

Keep Watch Pass – Buddy Movies

They are the dynamic duos, the gruesome twosomes, the one-two punch, the ying to each others’ yang. You can’t have one without the other, and the movies wouldn’t be the same if they weren’t together. Ep. 99 – Volcano

In 2004, Bad Religion released the song Los Angeles Is Burning. The song has references to Orwell’s 1984…but let’s be honest. We all know that deep down, what they were really singing about was the 1997 movie Volcano…and sing about it, they should because that film is not that bad.

Ep. 98 – Strays

Most people go to the theaters to watch stories of adventure, drama and excitement. They go to experience marvels that can’t be experienced in real life. They go to be amazed. Others, like us, occasionally go to count how many swear words you can get into 90 minutes. There may be something wrong with us…but there’s nothing wrong with this movie as we seek to prove to you that Strays is not that bad.

Ep. 97 – Surrogates

You hear it all the time from sci-fi movie fans around the world…stop putting out the same old IP’s and start crafting new stories. Occasionally, Hollywood actually listened…only to be slapped down by critics who just didn’t get or appreciate stories they weren’t already familiar with. That’s a shame, because when it comes to movies like 2009’s Surrogates, we’re here to tell you that it’s not that bad.

They were one of the acts that defined the 80’s sound. They defied the odds, surmounted every obstacle in their way and put out a ton of great albums along the way. Lyle Robichaud joins the show to go through 14 albums in the discography of the one and only Def Leppard. This is going to be a good one!
Below, you will see the playlists from both Lyle and I. Go through, have a listen and see if you agree with our choices. We also want to know what songs you would have picked, so be sure to sound off in the comments below and let us know what songs would have made your list?
