In 1997, the Spawn animated series debuted on HBO. It proved that the world was ready for a dark, violent gritty take on the character that graced the pages of the Image Comics series. Also in 1997, Spawn debuted on the big screen. It didn’t fare as well. But fear not, as we prepare to take on the hellish task of proving that Spawn the movie is not that bad.
