  • Welcome To The Home Of It’s Not That Bad

It’s the show that does its best to defend the unfairly maligned movies, to find the silver linings in the films deemed “less than great”. Every week, host Jason Whissell is joined by a guest to discuss a movie that has been poorly rated by the critics or by the fans. We do our very best to find good things to say about them, and to show those flicks in a light that you may have not noticed before. We are also always happy to hear what movies you think should be covered, as well as what you thought of the movies themselves. We’ll be posting blogs on here as well as keep you updated as to what to expect in the coming months.

  • Ep. 62 – 8 Heads In A Duffel Bag

Sometimes, movies get called out for their titles being odd or not related to the movie at all. Other times, it’s the opposite of that and the title may as well have been the pitch line, tagline and synopsis all at the same time. The question is, was it good? Find out as we attempt to prove to you that 8 Heads In A Duffel Bag is not that bad.

  • Ep. 61 – Suicide Squad

In marketing, the tagline of a movie can help the viewer get a sense of what to expect before going to see a film. Sometimes, that tagline can also be an indictment of the film itself. So, what do you expect from a film that proudly proclaims the worst heroes ever? Find out as we attempt to prove to you that 2016’s Suicide Squad is not that bad.

  • Ep. 60 – Deck The Halls

Nothing could be a bigger waste of NORAD’s vast resources and time than tracking some fat guy out for a joy ride every year like he’s on some predetermined flight path that other planes need to steer clear of. Well, what if someone tried to have their house seen from space? Find out as we attempt to illuminate the fact that Deck The Halls is not that bad.

  • Ep. 59 – Jem & The Holograms

Sometimes, when we go back and revisit things from our childhood, they don’t seem as good as we remember them to be. But, what happens when that thing from your childhood was outrageous? I mean, truly truly outrageous? Find out as we attempt to prove to you that Jem & The Holograms is not that bad.

  • Ep. 58 – Coneheads

In this conversational attempt to illuminate the positive idiosyncrasies of a cinematic reproduction of a televised comedic presentation, we endeavor to elucidate warm, positive feelings towards a fictional entity long neglected by the oppressors of projected iconography in motion. That may have been a mouthful, but it was written by someone from France. That said, we’re about to do our best to prove to you that Coneheads is not that bad.

  • Ep. 57 – Oscar

Take a French comedy stage play about an Italian-American gangster in 1930’s New York filmed in Orlando and there’s only one thing you can do…make the star a guy who made the steps in Philadelphia famous and have it directed by the guy behind Beverly Hills Cop 3. No atlas needed for this one as we attempt to prove to you that 1991’s Oscar is not that bad.

  • Ep. 56 – Fanboys

Everyone has that friend…that one who is so much into their fandom that every word that comes out of their mouth relates back to that which they obsess over. Well, guess what. I am that friend, and I’m about to squeal like a Gamorean guard because it’s time to prove to you that 2009’s Fanboys is not that bad.

  • Ep. 55 – The Big Bounce

They say that if at first you don’t succeed, try and try again. Well, in the summer of 69, The Big Bounce hit theatres. Spoiler alert, the author of the book hated it. Can 35 years, a decent cast and the director of Grosse Pointe Blank make difference? Find out as we attempt to prove to you that the 2004 remake of The Big Bounce is not that bad.

  • Ep. 54 – The Chronicles Of Riddick

In science fiction, the keys to having a good kickoff to a franchise are setting a tone and some solid world building. The key to putting a halt to that franchise is to take all that you’ve built up, go a completely different direction and hope that no one notices. Oh, we noticed…but in the case of The Chronicles Of Riddick, we can overlook that because in truth, it’s not that bad. Special Guest: Cullen Munch.

  • Ep. 53 – Halloween: Resurrection

How do you know when a franchise is probably past its “best before” date? Well, if the actress who made your series what it is comes back on the sole condition that her character is killed off so she never has to do it again, that’s probably a good indicator. Can Michael Myers continue after Laurie Strode commits character seppuku? Find out as we attempt to prove to you that Halloween Resurrection is not that bad.
