I do want to make it clear, these are not movies that we necessarily think are bad (some, we actually enjoy a ton!). The criteria we used to decide what a “bad” movie was? They had to score less than 60% on Rotten Tomatoes “Tomatometer.” So blame the critics, not us!
That being said, I am sure that if Rotten Tomatoes hears this episode, it’ll be immediately “certified fresh!”

Jason from ‘It’s Not That Bad’ podcast jumps onboard the ‘Defend It Yourself’ ship to review The Pirate Movie (1982), an Australian musical romantic comedy loosely based on The Pirates of Penzance.
“Think Pirates of the Caribbean crossed with YMCA’s ‘In The Navy’, throw a bit of Baywatch in there, a bit of Grease, a bit of Grease 2, the non-shark bits of Jaws and the dreamlike quality of Scrubs and you’re about halfway there”.
